The First Post

This is my first post on this blog, I have been blogging for almost three years now on an older blog, however I have found that the poor features and functionality of that system was really limiting the blog.  So I have switched from Blogger, to TypePad.

This Blog will focus on documenting my travels across the country, managing a software development team, and building a software development firm from the ground up.  It has been an interesting ride over the last year and a bit since i left my former employer, and things have drastically changed for me.  I went from working with large companies such as Microsoft, Investors Group, Ceredian, Boeing, Wawanesa, Manitoba Public Insurance, which included constant change and working in a breath of different areas as a software developer, web developer, quality assurance, instructor at a college for a year, presenting at large events with huge crowds, and on and on, to now working at one company, focused on one task... Manage a team of software developers, architects, and business analysts.  To Build a software company from nothing.
